An often overlooked aspect of the psychological trauma of 2021: At the time, there was no reason to believe that any of it was ever going to end. That year, living in Seattle, I was prohibited from sitting inside restaurants and seeing my disabled wife in the hospital. More and more businesses were asking for a certain paper that I didn't have.
You couldn't walk maskless into a building without being confronted and asked to leave. Yes, resistance and all that, but resistance was getting emotionally exhausting. Resistance meant high cortisol levels and stress.
And there was no resisting in medical facilities. You were escorted out of the building by security and trespassed if you refused to leave. I had fake masks. I wore them. It felt completely absurd and ridiculous. As if I was living in "The Walking Dead" and had to wear a fake skin so that I could walk undetected among the Covidians.
In 2021 I had every reason to think that this would be my life FOREVER. That all of it could only get worse, and it would never get better.
When coach tells you to run one lap around the track, it's completely different than coach telling you to run until he says to stop. "Run until I say stop" was how it felt in Seattle in 2021.
Sounds rough man. Congrats on making it through. Conpare/contrast - my own weird XP in rural BC, I was commuting to a kitchen gig cooking after being nominally booted out of the teaching profession by woke politics (I left voluntarily during a tsunami of anti-white male LGBTQ WHO, WEF requirements and banking instruction mandates - as a hetero white male it was obvious from subtle social cues I was on the "out"). The restaurant/grill had leveraged business to such a point where it was physically impossible to make it through the week without at least considering class A drugs, or having a total physical and mental breakdown (this from an Xr with 15 years of industry experience). The main breakfast cook OD'd on crack. I quit right when COVID went public mainstream. So being locked down at home on a gov. Plague subsidy "the CERB" (never having applied for any kind of assistance before) was like a life saving relief!! Then I was unable to visit my terminally ill mother because I didn't have the shot and she was loaded to the gills with every vaccine imaginable. So I got a band together and jammed as often as possible, giving a few brothers and friends a fun space to blow off steam, far enough from any population center that "social distancing" was very optional. So I ended up having fun, getting screwed, and SURVIVING. The last decade has been a real doozy, even in the full context of the full history of our species, unprecedented.....
Ironically, I am living Vince Gilligan's "Pluribus" while I read this article.
I'm on a massive group text with the normies at work, and they are all waxing poetically about the beauty of Olympic curling right now, something no one ever thinks of, but tjat the media machince demands our quadriniall Olympic loyalty, so puff out that patriotic chest, talk about the tactics of something no one has ever played, embrace the drama and pageantry.
Good post (if a bit too long). I’m not sure that the leftism of today will be forgotten or not understood, though. I think that part of the counter-revolution is an awareness of leftism as a psychological phenomenon. The left loves to psychoanalyze the right, but has largely escaped from similar scrutiny. As their world, worldview, and supporting systems collapse, their motives become more transparent. In the coming years it will become common knowledge that (e.g.) lots of leftism comes from father-hatred.
A useful tool to take control of is the meaning of Rousseau's Social Contract (the entire text is easily available online, I mention this because most have only ever read the term and whatever their college professor deigned to quote from it), especially the bits about free men vs slaves. Allowing the Left control of that theory-thesis has been very damaging to our civilisation, as has letting them control and (ab)use his writings on education.
That's not the only one of course, but by taking control of the interpretation and application of their foundational works, we - one and all - can take control of how their internal narratives and processes of self-identification/-ideation happens.
For an easy example, look at how Christianity invented pagans and paganism, to have a powerful tool of self-othering to use against those outside the Abrahamitic power-structure.
The above sentence is also an example of the method, since it uses commonplace postmodern/deconstructionist semantic technique: "invented" is technically correct but misleading, since it creates the idea that "pagan" and how the word functions today was something someone consciously created. In reality, the term evolved over time and space until it got its modern usage, as does all words (and that too is a good trick to learn to use and defend against, the false argument that since words change over time, there's no problem with someone changing the meaning of a words conssciously using a moral argument - Black instead of Negro f.e.).
This is the Long War, and those of us North of fifty in age will likely not see it won, but that's no excuse for not adding what we can, be it a lot or a little.
Nor is it any excuse for the young not to educate themselves on their own history and how the modern globohomocommiecapitalistwokemultikulti-malefactors have striven to murder their blood ties to the past.
Small town BC yesterday: "Free COVID shots!!" On a street level billboard in front of the pharmacy. Complete and total insanity. Going retro is part of my own personal, sanity saving solution to the deluge of woke garbage media. Got Iggy Pop's "Zombie Birdhouse" on vinyl yesterday and cranked it on the 'ol 90's turntable. Revalatory. Well beyond good. Every song a work of art, genius, and subtle punk rebellion coming of age. Fuck Netflix and fuck social media. Awaiting the call to arms which inevitably will come. E Pluribus indeed. Thanks for writing and assembling this most excellent piece of text. Go in peace, and be ever ready for Total War.
Social media=data extraction. Palantir, Oracle. Your offline/"meat space" world just took on a while new level of importance, as any/every keystroke online has....effects.....
COVID hasn’t left us though unfortunately - it’s just deliberately ignored. Check on Japan’s insane current excess deaths - over 20% above pre-COVID norms still. Average in the west is a bout 10% more excess deaths. Safe and effective! Only seen one episode of Pluribus so far, but i’ll stick with it. Great article and collation of posts.

pretty sure watching olympic curling is the only thing I have in common with the normies. It’s chill.

Just an absolutely brilliant post, well done, well done indeed.
